Briefly about Ore wa Subete wo “Parry” Suru Manga:
I have no talent at all. At the age of 12, a boy named Noru decided to train in the mountains. After the official training centers in the capital rejected him as “talentless. He believed that with enough effort. One day he could become like the main characters filling his childhood stories. Determined, he practiced every day with his improvised wooden sword. Endlessly repeating the only sword technique he knew, “parrying.” Hours turned into days, days turned into months, and months turned into years.
Eventually, he honed the skill to the point where he could break a thousand branches with it. No matter how hard he tried, however, he could not achieve the desired result. He could not learn any of the new skills necessary to become a true adventurer. Perhaps it was time to let go of his dream. But he couldn’t. It wasn’t time yet. Knowing this, he returned to the capital again. Not bad, not bad at all… Even though the hero is a bit silly, he got me. The art is excellent, and the battles are well staged 4/5.
The hero has found a boyfriend friend, which is not the case in modern fantasy at all. But the girl on the cover is alarming to me. If she’s a heel again, then I don’t know if it’s another one. Does this manga have a main source (novel) if there is, those who have read tell me this non-hero will then see normal goblins? Or will he still consider goblins to be two-meter strong monsters. In addition to parrying, he trained low-level skills from other classes. The manga is most likely about the hero’s low-level skills. But not over-pumped skills to surpass people with high-level skills.
The hero is a simpleton – he is incapable of following the adventurer’s path at the same pace as others. Got class, got rank, went on a mission and died. He will never understand his power. If we were only shown what Hero saw, the story would be shortened by a factor of 5 and 7 chapters would describe half the plot of the original manga.
