Briefly about Black Clover Manga:

Aster is a 15-year-old boy born in a universe where with no sorcery, you’re nothing. When Astor was really young, his parents planted him under the gates of a bad church. Now, a couple of decades later, the boy decides to devote all his energy to researching the craft of the wizard. 1 day, an orphan made a promise to his very best man to become King of the Wizards. But will the young boy have the ability to gather his strength from his fist, research his evil magical and prove to the world he is worth something?

Simple motivations. Seriously, a lot of the characters here have a tough past. But there are so many of them that you eventually get bogged down in it all. Right in the middle of a chapter, a flashback might pop up that tells you about the hard fate of a character whose name you’ve already forgotten.

The mangaka doesn’t even try to come up with motivations that are even remotely unusual. Characters and divisions into “bad and evil” and “the blacks and the elite.” The main character is a dummy, a tsundere, a “bull guy” with a hot heart, a “crazy guy who wants to have fun.” And so on and so forth. Super-typical. And there are THOUSANDS of shots like that here.

The villains often behave so shambolic in an evil way that it looks like a caricature. As for the characters. The standout characters can be counted on the fingers of one hand. But they still don’t sink in with the rest. About the division into the rabble and the elite – again, most of the characters have brothers or sisters. They consider their older/younger ones to be nothing, because well, they’re BETTER. It’s not just the brothers and sisters, there are a lot of these characters in the whole manga.
